New military reinforcements have been seen arriving in Sa'ada in preparation for war, especially following the failed mediation efforts led by local parties. Sahar district's Ghalthakan area witnessed the intensive artillery bombarding by army and targeted positions and sited suspected to accommodate Houthi followers. According to a local source, the army employed heavy canons and machine guns, however, no casualties have been reported. It has also been besieging Haydan district since the start of this month. Over the last two weeks, over 70 people have been killed and dozens injured of both warring parties. Local personalities, sheikhs and locals demanded authorities to ease the existing tension because it could bring about undesirable consequences and undermine the early mediation efforts that led to fragile ceasefire. They also stressed the importance of stopping corruption witnessed in the governorate and created under several excuses, noting these corrupt people benefit from the existing situation in there. Field Houthi leader Abdul Malik Al-Houthi warned authorities against waging a 5th war, assuring this will leave appalling consequences on the country and its people. Al-Houthi as well called authorities for dialogue, noting that priority should be given to the country's interest rather than the invidivual's that benefits from whom he named war traders. He also announced his readiness to fight a tireless guerilla warfare against the government forces. The recent truce has helped Houthi followers to rearrange themselves, have more provisions and prepare fortifications in anticipation of new clashes. Four days ago, a military helicopter made a forced landing after it was hit by Houthi fire.
