Yemen to Receive Rest of Qatari Grant

The Republic of Yemen and Qatar agreed on allocation of $ 300 million which was the remaining amount of the Qatari funding pledged for Yemen for development projects of priority in the investment program of the five-year plan 2006-2010.

 

Islamic Preacher Abdul-Rahman Al-Ashmawi in Sana’a

Islamic preacher Abdul-Rahman Saleh Al-Ashmawi arrived to the country. Al-Ashmawi would deliver a number of educational lectures for youths. Also, he is going to attend a collective wedding for 1000 grooms and brides next Thursday organized by the Orphan Center Organization and a number of charitable societies in Hadramout governorate.

 

Huge Fire Controlled in Al-Mukalla

A huge fire broke out at a commercial center in Al-Mukalla city. Sources reported that the fire was caused by an electricity spark at Jeddah Commercial Center. Firemen succeeded to control the fire with the help of security and citizens. The material damages costs were estimated to 10 million YR

  

Archeological Turkish Team to Count Ottoman Castles in Yemen

A specialized Turkish team, consisting from three professors in Ankara University, in archeology will visit Yemen Tuesday to count the rest of castles, fortresses, mosques, military facilities and Turkish baths built in Yemen with Turkish experiences. The team will cooperate with specialists form General Organization for Antiques and Museums (GOAM) and Ministry of Culture for counting the rest of antiques and Ottoman remnants across the country.
